What is the price of wellbeing and good health?

Well it is not exactly something that people 'budget' for when they do their yearly plans! Insurance, a holiday maybe, the car, bills and shopping but how many people budget for their health?  We service and wash our cars, clean the house, do the garden and the one machine responsible for bringing in the cash to pay for everything is often, well, normally, neglected. Massage is a need. Not an 'if I have time' or an 'if I can afford it', it is a need. You need to get rid of the toxins in your body, you need to relax your mind and muscles, you need to keep the 'Chi' or life energy flowing though you. It should be a regular monthly maintenance activity that you book in advance.

Pregnancy and Cancer

All of our treatments include aromatherapy oils and reflexology as part of the treatment. We also require you to complete a medical questionnaire relevant to the massage treatment before we work on you. If you are pregnant, especially in the first trimester or have had cancer you must discuss this with us before you book. Massage in pregnancy is a wonderful thing but there are areas we avoid, not just the abdomen, and also the use of some oils are not recommended. Massage in pregnancy is the prefect way to reduce stress and help your body adjust the changes. There are comfortable side positions with pillows for more advanced pregnancies! A letter from your Doctor is required in advance.

Cancer patients should generally not have massage treatments as it may disturb the bad cells and move them around the body. Reiki Treatments are good though as they are not manipulative. Gentle massage of the non affected areas, known as Effleurage, may be effective to help the patient feel better and more relaxed.

NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming, can be very helpful to cancer patients and may help  recovery and give a much more positive perspective on life. Gary has a series of NLP techniques that will help ill patients feel better and have a safe positive place in their mind to go to when things are difficult. There is a lot of success with cancer patients and NLP on the internet. Gary Lester has been a Master Practitioner of NLP since 2000.
